SLOW PLAYER THAT DIED AFTER 9 MONTHS
The picture and sound quality are excellent. However, it takes way too long to load disks.

DON'T BUY
I "cheaped out" and bought this for $89.00. What a disappointment! The remote control doesn't work until you're about three feet away from the machine (even with brand new batteries). The menues don't line up, and the machine doesn't give much of a better picture than a regular DVD.

SIMPLY AMAZING PICTURE AND SOUND
After reading all the reviews I decided that I would take a chance at this blu ray player which at the time was offered at Walmart for $98.00. When I went back to the store, they actually had a later model on the clearance rack for $68.00 without the remote.

DOES THE JOB
Pretty good player I have not had any trouble with it to this point. One thin I did notice is that originally I had the video resolution set to 1080p24. I was watching The Dark Knight and a couple times it skipped half a scene after locking up briefly.
